The answer is no to all of the above because I don't believe the state or federal government should interfere with private medical decisions of citizens. I do believe we should have a public health care option when the private markets have failed to meet the needs of all citizens.

Bring transparency to all government departments so that the people may always see how their money is being spent.

In New Mexico, we are required to show our ID at time of registration or first time voting if we have registered by mail or outside of the clerks office. Once Is enough and we should not be required to carry our papers in order to exercise our rights as citizens.
Yes a) Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes b) Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders, such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?

Yes d) Should a minor accused of a violent crime be prosecuted as an adult?
Yes e) Should a minor who sends sexually-explicit or nude photos by cell phone face criminal charges?
No f) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
The Death Penalty should be reserved for our most heinous offenders and violent criminals whose brutality continues while incarcerated. Non-violent offenders should not be filling our overcrowded prison system, living on the tax payers dime. I support the Decriminalization of Marijuana, which would decrease illegal activity, fight the ever growing violence South of our border and increase tax revenue. When minors committing crimes, it should be considered on a case by case basis as to how we treat the individual. Our local peace keepers are overwhelmed and undermanned, we should not add Federal Department obligations to their work load.

Yes e) Do you support government spending as a means of promoting economic growth?

No d) Should parents be allowed to use vouchers to send their children to any school?
No e) Do you support state funding for charter schools?
Yes f) Do you support the state government providing college students with financial aid?
No g) Should illegal immigrants who graduate from New Mexico high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities?
Common core is the excessive testing program purchase from a British Company that is unnecessary for public education to succeed. We will send Billions of tax dollars to Europe in order to meet the No child Left Behind standards. We also cannot afford to provide private schooling at the expense of our public sector. The needs of public schools must first be met, before adding extra services to the system.
Yes a) Do you support state funding for the development of alternative energy?
Yes b) Do you support state funding for the development of traditional domestic energy sources (e.g. coal, natural gas, oil)?

Yes a) Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
Yes b) Should background checks be required on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?
Yes c) Should citizens be allowed to carry concealed guns?
Yes d) Should a license be required for gun possession?
Law abiding gun owners should have no from criminals owning guns when we stop allowing felons to purchase guns through loopholes in our existing laws.
Yes a) Do you support a universally-accessible, publicly-administered health insurance option?
No b) Do you support expanding access to health care through commercial health insurance reform?
No c) Do you support interstate health insurance compacts?
Yes d) Do you support Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act?
No e) Do you support requiring individuals to purchase health care insurance?
Yes f) Do you support monetary limits on damages that can be collected in malpractice lawsuits?
Yes g) Do you support allowing doctors to prescribe marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes?
I do not support the government putting more regulations on private sector business until the government can enforce the regulations already in place. I also believe the private market should remain private and there should be a public option for those who chose against the private market. Interstate Health insurance compacts have a constitutional issue of states rights being removed and also would allow for our tax dollars to be relocated out of state. On the issue of medical marijuana, the government should not be allowed to regulate the health care decisions made by private citizens.
Yes a) Do you support same-sex marriage?
Yes b) Do you support the inclusion of sexual orientation in New Mexico's anti-discrimination laws?
Yes c) Do you support the inclusion of gender identity in New Mexico's anti-discrimination laws?
Yes d) Do you support allowing undocumented immigrants to obtain driver's licenses?
The government should never be allowed to regulate our private lives and in today's world we should stop discrimination the moment we see it. At least New Mexico can say, "we can ID them." A drivers license does not grant citizenship, but it does allow for our state to track them and hold them accountable for the same laws New Mexicans are required to follow. Fencing isn't stopping them from coming here, but that doesn't mean we can't do anything about it or that they can operate above the law.
JOBS: All of the listed item will bring jobs to our state. Education: correcting our current problems with funding and transparency. Removing No Child Left Behind mandates and common core standards. Roads and infrastructure: correcting our funding issues. Return of public works departments partnered with private companies. Healthcare: return and expand New Mexico's public health care for those who do not choose the private option.
